International financial services organization are seeking experienced Java developer for a 6 month contract opportunity.

Your role as Java Developer you will encompass three main areas they are: DEVELOPMENT, SUPPORT AND TESTING.

To be successful in this position you will have the ability to utilise of language capabilities and features for a design requirement, avoidance of Technical jargon that may detract from implementation simplicity. As well as uncovering design and implementation flaws early in the development life cycle and review of requirements, confirming both completeness and clarity for testing purposes.

Preferred skills and experience : Industry experience in Technology applications Broad programming experience developed through a combination of line work and testing including programming/testing and design/analysis. some formal software testing experience, including building test scripts and conducting systems, unit, and Regression testing Ability to identify industry and business trends that will impact on the specific role area. Ability to identify and use simple functions on software products relevant to the specific role area Ability to work self-sufficiently/with minimal supervision. Degree and appropriate post-graduate professional Technology training/qualifications in areas of programming, analysis/specification, design and/or testing. Practical Experience with JavaScript, HTML, PL/SQL cartridges. Practical Experience with Oracle PL/SQL. Practical Experience with Oracle 9i (or higher) RDBMS. Practical Experience with jQuery (or equivalent). Practical Experience in J2EE-based frameworks. Experience on applying Rational Clearcase would be desirible
